以出产大闸蟹而闻名的阳澄湖畔，近年来快速兴建起大量新住宅区，建筑风格无可避免的都是不加思索的仿古典园林建筑的式样。这个会所项目就位于这些的街区环境中。LWMA被委托将其中一个别墅改建成一个结合接待、居住、休闲的综合性会所，一个只有5个客房的小型酒店。面对现有场址中过于拥挤的传统苏州园林的元素和原建筑矫饰的外观，LWMA重新思考了传统园林的类型学，以及如何进行现代的重新诠释和改造。
The project is located nearby YangchengLake which at northeast of Suzhou as a most famous of origin for Chinese mitten crabs which considered as a delicacy. Along the lake, a lot of new housing complexes emerged, all built in a fast pace with unquestioned false Chinese traditional garden house style.
LWMA was commissioned to renovate one of the houses into a multi-function accommodation which integrates lounge,spa and 5 guestrooms served as an exclusive micro hotel. Confronting the existing site with excessive traditional Suzhou garden elements and turned out a pretentious appearance, LWMA reconsidered the typology of traditional garden and transited it with modern interpretation.
